Our Legacy.
In 1999, four Auxiliary members left their estates to the hospital. The leadership of Packard Children's Hospital, the Association of Auxiliaries, and the Lucile Packard Foundation created the Auxiliaries Endowment. Initially a $7 million gift, today the endowment is valued at $33 million.
Since its inception, it has:
- Provided more than $18 million in grant funding.
- Supported 103 programs.
- Created six new “sister” endowments:
- Victoria A. Applegate supporting Social Services
- Bereavement and Family Guidance Services
- Chariot Program
- Cleft and Craniofacial Center
- Harvey J. Cohen, MD, PhD supporting Critical Clinical Programs
- Teen Health Van
